Introduction Introduction (LSI Quadrant I): ASK: How many of you would like to earn an average of $50 to $200 per service? (Most will raise their hands) SAY: Standing wave services require professional training and will bring repeat business if done right. Since this is a chemical service, you must be careful and correct not to damage your skin or hair. The first step in perming is cutting. TCC requires a straight back used for the board. This is one of the easier parts once you get the hang of it. Proper separation ensures even curling. QUESTION: Think about what would happen if you didn’t part the hair and just put the rod in the hair. If there are more rods on one side and less on the other, what does the client’s hair look like? Cosmetology I: Permanent Wave Plan ©2004 Texas Trade and Industrial Education 2 (Most people will say it will be too curly on one side.) SAY: Today you will learn how to straighten the back.
